How we work
The product team at Qasa is a cross-functional team consisting of a backend/sys-ops developer (Martin), our CEO/frontend developer (Ludvig), data-scientist/backend developer (Emelie) and product owner/designer (Victor). We plan our work in two-week sprints and every three months we get together with the whole company to evaluate the past three months and plan for the next three months. We work towards a set of well-defined, measurable goals for each three-month period, and follow up on the results to learn and improve our process. This means that we often ship new features and product updates every two weeks. We question our decisions and believe in failing fast. All team members have equal say in our sprint planning and each individual can shape their work environment.
We like to stay focused, at all times. No unnecessary meetings and well-planned sprints is our motto. This also sets a good foundation for flexibility. We understand that there's more to life than work. Working from home is not a problem. However, we spend most of our working days at our office in central Stockholm since we enjoy each other's company, chatting, having lunch together and a beer or two on Fridays.
For us, the most important thing is that you share our core values. We are humble, we help each other out and we work as a team. We listen, communicate and learn new things both because we want to, and sometimes because we have to. We trust each other and we all take pride in the success we have, and we also take responsibility together when something doesn’t go as planned.
